Improve branding and sell more publications, challenges at stake for FIDIC
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) wanted to review its website, extranet as well as its online store. One of the major opportunity of this project was to sell more of all the publications. In charge of promoting and implementing worldwide the builiding industry's best practises on behalf of its Member Associations, consulting engineering firms, knowledge and know-how is FIDIC's best asset.
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) wanted to review its website, extranet as well as its online store. The reason: their previous tool clearly reach its limits. We designed with them a project in several stages over a two years period.
We needed a new digital platform to promote our federation but also to push our publications to a larger public, providing the best e-commerce journey to our users.
For this project we opted without hesitation for Drupal 7, mature enough to support the FIDIC's requirements. However, we compared the Ubercart and Drupal Commerce modules before choosing the latter for, among other things, its flexibility and long-term potential.
More than 40'000 publications sold
