INFOSAN (WHO - World Health Organization)
Designing a collaborative platform to ensure food security around the world.

Managing food risks
A global mission
INFOSAN is an international network of WHO food safety authorities that assists Member States by ensuring the rapid exchange of information in emergency situations to stop the spread of contaminated food from one country to another.

A trustworthy partnership
A new platform is born
In 2011, Inovae created the first version of the INFOSAN (WHO) platform. Almost 10 years later, INFOSAN (WHO) reiterates its trust and confides us the development of a new collaborative platform for its community of experts.
Key needs

Cleverly orchestrated technologies
At the service of information

For its API management
Symfony is one of the leaders in terms of enterprise frameworks. Its adoption, coupled with that of API Platform, allows us to develop a robust and stable backend used by a wide range of customers from web to IOT, including mobile. Data exchanges are done via a standardized format called Hydra.

For its stability
Very robust, this database manager is the most used in the world. Its large number of users gives it stability and richness in terms of functionalities.

For better performance
The benefits of Next.js allow us to deliver an organized, versatile and high-performance application through server-side rendering. Remote users or those without access to a reliable network benefit from this performance bonus. React allows us to produce a hyper-interactive application, with intuitive and natural navigation and usage.

For tailor-made functionalities
The application allows users to chat live. It offers great customization features such as creating personalized spaces, privatizing conversations or adding members.

Social features
Supporting an organic dynamic
The platform has a strong social dimension. Everything is built to allow efficient and quick communication between users.
Each feature has been chosen to offer a means of expression according to a need: react, discuss, alert, comment...
Tools for knowledge sharing
Accelerate solution finding
The Infosan network is above all a global exchange tool. Directory, advanced search, classification, etc. All the features have been designed to promote knowledge sharing.

A gamified experience
Increasing participation
In order to value the most experienced users and to encourage exchanges on the platform, a gamification system has been implemented. It allows to obtain points according to the actions performed. Special statuses can be reached, allowing to highlight the experience levels.

Design to meet new needs
Thanks to an Atomic approach to design
The entire interface was built in a modular way to allow the application to evolve over time. The principles of Atomic Design have allowed to create a coherent ecosystem that is highly adaptable to changes.
Design sytsems are powerful tools that help ensure a continuous experience while taking into account future evolutions.
