To help the global fight against cancer
Founded in 1933 and based in Geneva, Switzerland, UICC (International Union Against Cancer) is the largest and oldest international cancer organisation. UICC has nearly 1,200 members and 58 partners in 172 countries. The organisation represents the world's leading cancer associations, ministries of health, research institutes, health centres, patient groups and industry leaders.
UICC approached Inovae to create the organisation's new website. The agency is very committed to the work of NGOs and is always keen to help them in their mission to create a better world, so it is with great pride that we accompanied UICC in this project.
The objective of this mandate was to design a solution that would provide an outstanding user experience, while preserving the editing flexibility that the organisation needed to keep the site and its news alive.
The challenge
Combining creativity with a high editing capacity
The objectives of the new site were based on the following challenges:
- Transform the website into a dynamic digital hub;
- Raise awareness of the fight against cancer among members and partners;
- Unite the community;
- Increase visitor engagement with content;
- Improve navigation, ease of search and accessibility of a wide variety of content through thoughtful architecture.
